Hello again!
I’m back again with another blog! In the last one, I talked about the equipment we used. In this blog, I’ll dive more into the filming and editing portion of our meet-up. Without Further adieu, let’s get into it!
As said before, this meet-up was our climax/final few scenes. I wanted to make sure everything was perfect for it. We all met up at my house around 6, because I thought it would be a good idea to have the last scenes be around sunset, to add a dtamatic flare. I had the idea to have the scene where I texted my “ex-boyfriend” be at a low angle, almost to the ground. I liked this idea because it had the phone in the frame, and also me in the background, heading toward the water after karina.
In any case, after the filming was done, I worked on our final editing. Throughout the project, we left Karina to do most of the basic editing, like cutting the videos shorter to fit only what we want to. However, we thought it was only fair if we all had our share of editing. So, part of it was my job to do touch-ups on the effects of each clip. For example, if one clip was too bright, I would lower the brightness level to have it better match the other scenes. This came in handy because in some parts of the video, it was supposed to be set on the same day, however we met up on different days.
This project has been so much fun so far, and I’ve learned a lot along the way. I can’t wait to see you all in the next blog!
